Anna Silk

Anna Silk (born January 31 1974) is a Canadian actress most commonly known for her role as Bo from the Showcase TV show Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Silk is the daughter of Peter who is a professor, and Ilkay Silk, a prominent actress director producer playwright educator as well as Director of Drama of Drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. One of Anna's first memories were of going to the play school as well as watching her mother do the do her job. Silk made several commercials while she was still a child. The Bachelor in Arts was conferred by St. Thomas University, 1997. Theatre St. Thomas has produced two plays in the early years: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved out of Toronto and moved to Los Angeles in the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman is her future husband, who she first discovered at the time of her meeting in Los Angeles at an Actors training. The couple was engaged in 2009 and were married in a civil ceremony that was held in December. The couple was married on April 10, 2011. renew their vows during the Jewish celebration in Fredericton after she converted to Judaism. Silk was blessed with an infant son Samuel Jerome Cooperman in May 2013. Her second son Levi Aaron was born on May 13, 2016. Silk's TV work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland in which she was awarded the Gemini Awards nod in 2009. The Canadian series Lost Girl cast her as Bo Dennis, the lead character of a succubus. Silk announced to her fans that she was pregnant at the beginning of January 2013, during a Showcase Season Three Special. Silk tweeted on June 20th 2013 that the show was coming back to production. The fourth season began on the 4th of June 2013 and was produced by Showcase and Prodigy Pictures. CNN named Bo's portrayal along with Lauren (Zoie Palermo) in Lost Girl one of the most talked about television couples of all time. E! voted it as top TV couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is a huge following on Facebook and Twitter, as a direct consequence of its popularity.
