Sometimes a glittering career hides some of the saddest stories. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA and World Championships for hurdle events in 2013, achieved this feat by putting in a lot of effort and tremendous patience. Jones grew up with an extremely difficult and hardship-filled life being the daughter of a single mother who was also a mother to five kids. Jones' mother moved constantly and even lived in the basement of her church. Jones was an erratic and mobile lifestyle up until she enrolled in the high school system, was required the option of moving to a new school annually. Jones had to live away from mother at Theodore Roosevelt School to pursue her love of track. She lived at four different residences during her time at high school, so she could study all in the same place. Jones as a cellist in the school's orchestra and recipient of Gatorade Iowa track and field athlete of the year award won her an award called the Gatorade Iowa Athlete Award towards the end of high school. Beginning When she entered college, Jones proved to be one of the best hurdlers. She won the 100-meter obstacle in 2002 at the NCAA Track & Field Championship. Also, she was among those on the second team for the 100-meter relay event. Jones is a champion of hurdles in the indoor section at NCAA Championships in both 2003 and 2004. Jones is training since 2005 when she graduated from her college studies. She won two events, her events, the Torino Memorial and the Heusden Track events that same year.
Brandt was raised and born in Cape Town, South Africa. She immigrated to Auckland New Zealand with her family during her late teens. Discovered by local casting directors Brandt took on the role as Naevia on the Starz smashes Spartacus: Blood and Sand and Spartacus: Gods of the Arena. Her character was popular among the public and producers Steven S. D Knight, Sam Raimi and Sam Raimi. She was on the show's hit Netflix show Lucifer that ran for a six years run as the fan most loved Vertigo/DC comic book character Mazikeen. Forbes listed Lucifer, the world's most-watched show in 2021. Brandt will be next in a six-episode Walking Dead limited spin-off starring Andrew Lincoln and Danai Giurira, which will air in 2024. Brandt is also set to star alongside Jason Ritter Anthony Carrigan and Chris Meloni in the adult animated series Captain Fall which airs July 2023 on Netflix. Lesley-Ann Brandt was born on the 2nd of December, 1981, in Cape Town South Africa. She's a very talented New Zealand actor. Lesley Brandt, along with her whole family, moved from the United States to Auckland New Zealand back in 1999. After just a couple of years working in retail, she was promoted to IT manager consultant. Lesley began her professional career as a commercial ad-writer after several modeling assignments. In 2008, she completed her college and began studying Meisner method of study. Lesley Brandt's first notable actor role was on the TV drama series Diplomatic Immunity, which aired in New Zealand. Lesley Brandt is a supporting guest on New Zealand television drama Shortland Street. In the sequel to this sci-fi series This Is Not My Life she portrayed the city of Waimoana. Lesley Brandt played Naevia in the television series Spartacus: Blood and Sand. Later, she played the role in Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.
