Tessa Thompson

Tessa Lynn Thompson, an actor and songwriter who hails who hails from Los Angeles was born in 1983. Thompson is the daughter and grandaughter of singer Marc Anthony Thompson, as and actor Bobby Ramos. The majority of her childhood was spent living in Los Angeles, before she relocated to Brooklyn. Her mother is of Mexican as well as British Isles origins, and her father is an Afro-Panamanian. Thompson was part of many productions during her time at Santa Monica High School. Thompson enrolled at Santa Monica College after graduation and earned a cultural Anthropology degree. At Pasadena's Boston Court Theatre, she was Juliet in Shakespeare's "Romeo as well as Juliet".
